Sri Lanka Two Weeks Itinerary (13 Nights)

Day 1 – Airport to Negombo
Upon arrival, Rahmaholidays representative will pick you up from the Bandaranayake International Airport to start your Sri Lanka two weeks itinerary. He will be your private chauffeur for the entire duration of your Sri Lanka round trip. On the first night of your tour, you will be driven to Negombo, where you will check in to your hotel.
You will spend the night in Negombo.
Day 2 – Negombo to Sigiriya
After an enjoyable breakfast, the second day of your two-week itinerary will commence with you being driven to the city of Sigiriya. You will also visit Dambulla Cave Temple before you reach Sigiriya Hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3-Sigiriya to Anuradhapura and Back to Sigiriya
After your breakfast, you will visit Anuradhapura and Mihinthale on this day. This is the city of ancient ruins where you can obtain an in-depth explanation of the history of Sri Lanka. As well, you will also visit Atamasthana and other tourist attractions there. Later in the day, you will be back at your hotel in Sigiriya.
Day 4 – Sigiriya to Polonnaruwa and Back to Sigiriya
On the fourth day of your Sri Lanka two weeks itinerary, you will visit Polonnaruwa after breakfast. It is another historically important place with a lot of ruins. After visiting the most important places in Sigiriya, you will then be back at the Sigiriya hotel for the overnight stay.
Day 5 – Visit Around Sigiriya City
After a delicious breakfast, you will be driven to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, where you will enjoy rock climbing activities. Thereafter, you will have a great opportunity to enjoy a ride on a bullock-driven cart, where you will be able to view typical Sri Lankan rural life. An opportunity to enjoy a great Ayurvedic massage is also planned.
You will spend the night in Sigiriya.
Day 6 – Sigiriya to Kandy
The next day, after a delicious breakfast, you will be driven towards the hill capital of the island – Kandy. On the way, you will have an opportunity to visit a spice garden.
You will spend the night in Kandy.
Day 7 – Visit Around Kandy
On the seventh day of your Sri Lanka two weeks itineray, you will be driven to visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Also known as Sri Dalada Maligawa, this golden-roofed temple houses the relic of Lord Buddha’s tooth. Thereafter, a visit to the Botanical Garden in Peradeniya is planned for the evening, and then you will have a great opportunity to enjoy the rest of the evening by watching an entertaining Kandyan Cultural Dance Show.
Day 8 & 9 – Ella
On day eight, you will have a wonderful opportunity to explore the panoramic beauty of the enchanting city of Nuwara Eliya. En route, you can see tea plantations, a tea factory, and beautiful waterfalls. If you wish to take photographs, on your request, your driver will stop at the places of your choice.
Once you reach Nuwara Eliya, you will be shown Lake Gregory. Thereafter, you will be driven to the railway station in Nanu Oya. Your friendly chauffer will then meet you again at the Ella railway station and drive you to your hotel in Ella.
On the 9th day of your tour, after a good breakfast, you will be driven to explore the fascinating places around Ella. The first place to visit is the Nine Arches Bride and, thereafter, a place known as Little Adams Peak.
You will spend the night at Ella.
DAY 10 – Ella to Tissamaharama
On day ten of your Sri Lankan Round Tour, you will depart from the city of Ella and be driven to Tissamaharama. After checking in to your hotel, you will then have a great opportunity to engage in an evening full of fun-filled wildlife safari activities at the Yala National Park.
You will spend the night in Tissamaharama.
Day 11 & 12-Mirissa
The next morning, you will move on to explore the gorgeous combination of sun, sand, and water of Sri Lanka.
Mirissa Beach’s breathtaking sandy beach pretty much transforms your dreams and visions of a tropical paradise into an everyday reality. This small, sandy tropical beach boasts some of Sri Lanka’s best and most stunning sunsets and sunrises.
On the 12th day of your tour, you will have an opportunity to go on a whale and dolphin watching expedition in Mirissa. This will be one of the most exciting water activities you will experience in Sri Lanka during your holiday. Mirissa is known as the best place to start your whale and dolphin watching tour in Sri Lanka.
DAY 13-Mirissa to Bentota via Galle
After an enjoyable breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven to a city on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka. It’s known as Galle Fort, the fortified old city founded by Portuguese colonists in the 16th century. The Galle Fort consists of stone sea walls, which were later on expanded by the Dutch.
There are also many narrow vehicle-free streets with architecture reflecting Portuguese, Dutch, and British rule. Notable buildings include the 18th-century Dutch Reformed Church. Galle Lighthouse stands on the fort’s southeast tip.
Later in the day, you will stay at a beautiful hotel in Bentota for the rest of the day and overnight.
Day 14 – Departure
Based on the time of your flight departure, you will leave for the Bandaranaike International Airport in time to catch your flight (at least 2-3 hours before your flight), bringing to a conclusion a fantastic and wonderful Sri Lanka two-week itinerary with us!
Special Note: You do not need to pack and carry your bags each day with you if you are staying at the same hotel for two or more days. This is the itinerary that makes you feel luxuriant.
