Day 01 – Airport to Pinnawala and Kandy
The Rahmaholidays representative welcomes you at the Katunayake Airport for the 6-day Sri Lanka tour. He will be your chauffeur and guide for the entire 6 days. On the first day of your tour, we will travel from Kaytunayaka to Kandy. We will make a stop at the Pinnwala Elephant Orphanage as your first stop in Sri Lanka before arriving in Kandy.
Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is an elephant conservation center in Sri Lanka that is situated in the Pinnawala area of Kegalle District. It is the place where you can observe around 80 elephants of multiple age groups. Those are very friendly with humans, and visitors can feed them. Their feeding time and bathing time are the best times to stay at this elephant orphanage. The elephants are carried to the Ma Oya River by their owners in the afternoon, where visitors can participate and touch them while they bathe.
Following the Pinnawala, we will proceed to a lovely Kandy hotel for dinner and overnight accommodations.
Day 02 – Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
After a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, you will visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic in the morning. It is the most significant place for Buddhists all around the globe. The Lord Buddha’s left canine has been established in this temple, where many devotees come to worship. You will see the beauty of Kandy Lake next to the tooth relic temple.
Then, we will visit the Royal Botanical Garden in Peradeniya. It is a place where you can see a wide variety of flowers and plant species. It is a beautiful garden that is suitable for getting relaxed and enjoying nature. We will next travel to Nuwara Eliya from Kandy.
During the tour, you will spend a few minutes near the beautiful waterfall called “Ramboda Falls.” It is Sri Lanka’s eleventh-highest waterfall, with a height of 109 m. Before you visit Nuwara Eliya, we will take you to see a tea plantation and factory. Participating in the tea plucking activities there can help the tea pluckers. The tea factory is the place where plucked tea leaves become tea dust. You should remember that Sri Lanka is the country that produced the world-famous “Ceylon Tea.”
Thereafter, you will come to the Nuwara Eliya Hotel to rest and finish the day.
Day 03 – Nuwara Eliya to Bentota
On the third day of your 6-day tour of Sri Lanka, we will travel from Nuwara Eliya to Bentota. After your breakfast in the Nuwara Eliya hotel, we will travel to a few tourist attractions in Nuwara Eliya city. It includes the Post Office and Gregory Lake. Then we’ll get ready to travel to Bentota.
The route is absolutely beautiful, with tea plantations, hills, and dense forests. You will meet two famous waterfalls called “St. Clair Falls” and “Devon Falls” along this route. We can also arrange white-water rafting activities in Sri Lanka if you are interested. Kithulgala is an area that is highly famous for this activity, and we will meet along this route. If not, we will directly travel to the hotel in Bentota. You can spend the evening and overnight there in the coastal environment.
Day 04 – Bentota
After breakfast on this day, we will head to the Madu River for some water sports. The boat ride through the Madu River is an exciting experience that you will undoubtedly have with us. The sails start in the Balapitiya and travel along a mangrove lagoon, which is highly dense with many plant and animal species. The Sea Turtle Hatchery Farm is another popular tourist attraction in Bentota, which is where we will take you. It is a place where you can see little sea turtles. Further, you can learn more about the life cycle of sea turtles. After those visits, we will come again to the Bentota hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight stays.
